Can I hire a scooter or powered chair on a long term basis?
Yes, but a home visit is required before you can hire. Terms and conditions apply.

How long can I hire manual wheelchairs for?
You can hire the wheelchair for 60 days initially, after which they must be returned for inspection. Hire beyond 60 days must be referred to the Management Committee for approval.

Can I take wheelchairs abroad?
We regret that we do not allow wheelchairs to be taken abroad due to damage being caused by handling at airports.

Do you provide an advice and information service?
We don't officially provide advice and information, but we do hold a range of information and we will be happy to point you in the right direction.

Do you sell mobility aids?
No, but we can refer you to people who do stock various products.

If I arrive by Bus or Metro can someone bring the vehicle to me?
Yes, provided you are arriving in South Shields town centre. It would be helpful if you are able to give us some notice.
